OCHRE + CO began by helping another company curate a line of men's hair and body care products. During this process, we discovered how much we enjoyed creating body care with a particular goal in mind.

When we were thinking about products for OCHRE + CO, we started with body soap. It was important to us that the ingredients that were used were sustainable and good for you. (These ideas are still at the foundation of each formula we develop.) We wanted a unique formula that was luxurious to use. This involved researching different oils, butters, and additives. When we found the ingredients we wanted to use, we started experimenting.

Creating different forumlas led us to making several batches of soap, testing how well they worked, and seeing if they lived up to our expectations. When one worked, it was time to fine tune the recipe. The perfect soap recipe had to be luxurious, bubbly, and long lasting.

But what is the perfect bar of soap? That really depends on who is using it. The perfect bar of soap truly comes down to you. What is it you prefer to use? Is gentleness your main goal?
